Boston Family Travel Guide

I love the North.  We spent a full week in New England, and I am so excited to share our trip with y’all!  In this blog post are all of my recommendations for where to stay, where to eat, and what to do.  We made this a girls-only trip.  So we spent a majority of the time sightseeing and eating our faces off.

Boston Family Travel Guide- Where to Stay:

The Intercontinental Boston of course!  Many of you followed along on stories, so you know how beautiful the hotel is.  If you didn’t, look at the pictures above.  It’s warm and cozy, with fireplaces dotted throughout the lobby and restaurants.  On the second floor is a world class spa, as well as a top tier workout facility AND an indoor pool.  The back of the hotel backs up to the harbor, and during the summer the restaurant and bar are open back there so you can watch the boats come and go.  It’s a very relaxing spot to enjoy a drink or a meal. The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and many have been re-designed.  Not to mention the super comfy beds, large soaking tubs, and rain-shower heads.

What the stories and pictures don’t show you, is how conveniently located this beauty is!  We were able to walk to so many of the top tourist attractions, as well as several restaurants etc.  It’s also close to the train station if there are other parts of Boston you want to visit.  Scrolls down for all the touristy places we visited!

There is a great restaurant in the Intercontinental called Miel- it’s a French restaurant and the chef is AMAZING. He sent some of the beautiful arrangements you see above.  Those macaroons were to die for!  There’s also a Champagne and Rum bar called RumBa that I highly recommend.

The Barking Crab– is right across from the Intercontinental and has such a fun bar vibe.  There are twinkle lights hanging from the ceiling, picnic tables to sit at, and live music most nights.  The seafood is so fresh and delicious.  Those crab legs pictured above- some of the best I’ve ever had.  Chelsea had the Oysters and loved them as well!  And Henley went gaga over the fish sticks.Heading to Boston soon? Backyard Bettys is the perfect place to take the kids!  They have games, TVS, and all the food you and your little ones are craving.  Just look at those wings!  And the drinks are scrumptious.  We had a follower meet-up here and everyone agreed that the food and drinks were top notch!  I highly recommend the slushies, as well as the barbecue sandwich.
